The location

Everything on foot

You will not need a bus, a taxi or a rental car. The centre of Florence is small — and you are standing right in the middle of it.

One thing we say up front: the apartments are on the third floor of a protected historic building, and there is no lift — fifty-five steps. Nearly every guest tells us the view is worth it, but you should know before you book, not after.

Questions guests actually ask

Is booking directly really cheaper?

Yes. On the large platforms guests pay a service fee of roughly fourteen percent on top of the nightly rate, and that fee goes to the platform, not to us. Book here and it disappears — the apartment, the linen and the welcome are exactly the same.

How does check-in work?

Self check-in. A few days before you arrive we send you the address, your access code and step-by-step photos of the way in, so you can let yourself in whenever you land — no waiting for anyone, no fixed meeting time. We are on WhatsApp the whole time if anything is unclear.

Is there a lift?

No. The building is an eighteenth-century protected structure and the apartments are on the third floor — fifty-five steps. If you are travelling with heavy luggage, tell us in advance and we will arrange help for you.

Where can I park?

First the important part: the historic centre is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL), and driving in without a permit means an automatic fine — so leave the car outside it. We do not reserve parking spaces, but these are your options, from nearest and dearest to cheapest and a little further out:

  • Garages in the centre — 2 to 5 minutes on foot, around €30–40 a day. Convenient, and by far the most expensive choice.
  • Fortezza Fiera, Viale Filippo Strozzi — about 10 minutes on foot, around €20 a day. The best balance of price and distance.
  • Parterre, Piazza della Libertà — about 15 minutes on foot, around €10 for the first day. A municipal garage, guarded and well lit.
  • Villa Costanza (Scandicci, A1 exit) — the cheapest at roughly €7 a day, then 20 minutes on the T1 tram to Santa Maria Novella. Worth it from two nights up.

Prices as we saw them in summer 2026 and subject to change — check at the barrier. The rule of thumb: the further from the centre, the cheaper.

Can I bring my dog?

In Residence La Perla, yes — well-behaved dogs are genuinely welcome, and we will point you to the nearest parks and dog-friendly trattorias. The other two apartments stay pet-free for guests with allergies.

What if I need to cancel?

Free cancellation up to fourteen days before arrival, with the full amount refunded. Within fourteen days we will always try to find a solution — moving your dates is usually easier than you think.
